How often should the filtration system be activated?

The pump should ideally be activated 4 hours daily i.e. 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. We recommend a plug timer to automate this. The only exception is in winter at subzero temperatures, in which case it should stay turned on at all times.

However, the pump of the filtration system should never be turned on while the wood stove is in use. The water in the hot tub cannot be heated effectively if it is constantly circulating in the filtration system. Using both at the same time also prevents the stove from reaching optimal burning temperature.
