The Panel wooden hot tub sports a refined exterior and a practical clip-on fence, both made of eco-certified Thermowood®. The thermal process is environmentally-friendly and confers weather- and mould-resistant properties, which is why Skargards uses this material exclusively for all cladding and wooden accessories.
Powerful direct-heating stove
As with all traditional wooden hot tubs, the log-fired stove is submerged in the bathing water to heat it directly and effectively. Heat transfer is optimised thanks to the cylindrical stove design and the wise choice of material. Indeed, high-grade stainless steel ensures long-term durability and performance as well as resistance to seawater and chlorine.
Ergonomic bathing area
Fitted with Skargards’ signature tub, the Panel is remarkably comfortable. Multi-layered fibreglass has replaced the plain wooden interior of traditional wooden hot tubs, providing a smooth surface and ergonomic shapes instead of sharp 90° angles. Once you get in, you may find it hard to get out.
Premium materials
The Panel combines sleek Swedish design with strong, durable materials such as the Thermowood® cladding, the stainless steel stove, the multi-layered fibreglass tub and the galvanised steel undercarriage. And with low running costs, you can take pride in a smart wooden hot tub purchase for many years to come.
Delivered ready-to-use, the Panel is designed to immediately be set up in your location of choice thanks to its solid self-supporting structure. Feel free to place it in your garden, near your cottage or in any other remote, picturesque area. That's the beauty of a wooden hot tub with no electrical components.
High-quality materials ensure long-term durability, giving you peace of mind as the years go by. Skargards deals exclusively with Scandinavian and European suppliers to produce premium wooden hot tubs.

What makes the Panel unique?
Except for final steps such as attaching the flue, the Panel hot tub arrives completely pre-assembled with the accessories you've ordered, including the bubble jet and lighting systems. Remember that the hot tub should be placed on a solid, level surface e.g. concrete base, wooden terrace, paving stones, etc.
A wooden hot tub is an authentic Swedish experience that can be enjoyed at any time of the year, whether under a starry summer night or in the cold of winter.

Learn more
We believe that a log-fired stove is the natural and authentic way to enjoy a wooden hot tub. The experience offers a welcome break from hectic everyday life and all the technology that comes with it. It is a simple concept that has stood the test of time: burning wood in a stove to heat the bathing water.
Simple heating process
How does it work? Simply start by laying some kindling and a few logs at the bottom of the stove. Once ignited, the fire's intensity can be regulated with the wood-handled stove lid that controls the air flow. To make it all the easier, the stove's height facilitates wood loading — its large size accommodates long logs and significantly reduces the number of refills.
Durable cylindrical construction
All Skargards wooden hot tubs were made to withstand the harsh winters of Sweden. Made with durable AISI 316 stainless steel, the Panel stove is cylindrically shaped which renders it highly resistant to warping despite extreme temperature variation. As the strongest and most structurally sound geometrical shape, a cylinder allows for a thinner stove lining which optimises heat transfer.
An elegant wooden fence safely separates the bathing area from the stove and flue. For safe use, the wide handle on the stove lid is made of treated wood which does not conduct heat. Skargards is committed to your personal safety — that's why it is the only producer to have all its wooden hot tubs CE-certified.
Although wooden hot tubs are based on a beautifully simple concept, there are always ways to push the enveloppe with some equally simple enhancements such as optimising air flow and water circulation.
Here are the answers to some of the questions you may still have about the Panel's direct-heating stove. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Every Skargards tub is carefully crafted with the same material used for sailboat hulls. The glass fibre reinforced plastic confers impressive strength, durability and light weight. The top coat allows the wooden hot tub to be used with chlorine as well as seawater.
The tub's unique design supports the contours of your body to provide superior comfort for hours on end. The curves are specially shaped to accommodate people of all heights. A wooden hot tub this comfortable is hard to come by.
In contrast to traditional wooden hot tubs that need to be brushed clean, the glossy surface of the Skargards lining is exactly like that of your home bathtub. No wooden seating to scrub or tough corners to reach — simply detach the fence and wipe the tub clean with a cloth.
Made from the same durable Thermowood®, the tub's fence elegantly separates the stove from the bathing area. It is robust thanks to a stainless steel frame. A convenient locking clip ensures quick removal of the fence so that cleaning the tub is as simple as can be.

Stove
The Panel stove improves on the proven concept of traditional wooden hot tubs. As such, it is submerged in the bathing water to heat it directly and effectively. The main barrel contains the fire. A draft pulls air into the stove, thus optimising combustion and leading the smoke out through the flue. The stove lid is specially designed to adjust air intake for temperature control.
Interior
Skargards' signature ergonomic tub is crafted with 5 layers of glass fibre reinforced plastic.
Exterior
All Skargards hot tub cladding and wooden accessories are made of eco-certified Thermowood® sourced from Scandinavia. The environmentally-friendly thermal process confers strong weather- and mould-resistant properties to the wood. According to the Building Research Establishment (BRE), the expected service life of Thermowood® is over 30 years.
Base frame
The Panel features a robust base frame made of galvanised steel. There is a circular foot in the centre that is surrounded by 7 or 8 feet on the edge of the hot tub. The feet are 4 cm in height so that hoses and wires can be led out at any point. This elevation also optimises air flow between the cladding and the tub, which in turn prevents condensation.

Drain
Hidden from sight, the drain is located to the left of the stove behind the wooden fence. A string connects the plug to a floater at the surface of the water. Emptying the water is as simple as pulling the floater. A 2-meter hose is included to direct the water outflow.
